In a peaceful town, a young boy named Russ Halsey was known for his playful nature. Russ, or Russie Hals, was always finding himself in all sorts of trouble at school.

One sunny and lively morning, Russ decided to trick his classmates. He hid a rubber spider in the teacher’s desk. When Mr. Smith, the friendly and understanding teacher, opened the cabinet, she let out a small scream, making the whole class burst into laughter.

On a different day, Russ carried his pet frog in his backpack. He showed it to his friends during recess, and everyone was excited. They named the frog Hopper.
